That is a totally low class comment.

Dale has never mentioned money in any of his post's. Knowing Dale he built that out of a JUNK frame. He is a true builder and made that stuff himself.

Go and read his posts before you shoot off your newby mouth.

Not a shop or garage, but my rec room. Nothing near as fancy as what I'm seeing here, but to keep the fender usable in case it's ever needed, I cut it into the wall and kept it intact. $20 for the fender at a flea market and a couple of spray bombs.

Just about finished the juke box which was stuff I had laying around like 55 Pontiac hood strips. The star is from an old pontiac dealership. 55 Olds fender script on the light backdrop and even the base of the record stack is a headlight ring. The cabinet itself is a pair of old doors and the rest is scrap lumber and leftover aluminum flashing. The selector buttons are from a highly optioned, but junk range hood. The panel behind the record changer lights up and changes color thanks to an old novelty light I had laying around. All I had to buy was the fabric for the speaker face and the plexiglas to face it off.

Yep, I have fun playing around with junk too!............

  19. Cool rec room!!!! I love the juke box. How very clever. You have a great eye....I would never be able to see a pile of parts like that and build that.

  20. Screw, wire and old sparkplugs.
I build a 4 piece rock band for my son.

You could (should) build something that can inflict damage to the toyota, but is not lawyer bait like what you have. I'd take the sharp stuff off asap because we live in different times, if you know what I mean.

Make something that does not look dangerous, but still does the job.

Just wondering about clumsy kids on bicycles, too, with the sharp things.

I had to give up on my TR rat project when my daughter started college. It's just money right? So I started building desk lamps from pistons I had in the garage. I made the Jacobs Radial lamp first. 5.25" diameter piston from 1945. Nice solid base. My most recent lamp is the Ford Flathead piston on the 32 hub cap base. I think this is my new favorite. I have some Caddy 500 pistons that will make nice lamps and there is a 5.5" x 7" tall piston from a 1930 Chris Craft V8 -825 Cubes! that will be a cool lamp base.

I have 4 Offy pistons from 60s indy cars that I want to make into lamps but I haven't got a good design for them yet. 7 more Flat Head slugs and 5 more "V8" hub caps will be made into lamps for now. Gotta keep busy.

    Hex,
I'll make you one for $125USD. I would pick up the shipping too but I have no idea what it might be to BC. If it's around $20 from 60521 to you I'll include shipping. You pay whatever is extra, over that.

I'm not going to read the whole thread again, I probably put this up before but here it is again anyway. I had it on the side of my shed and a guy came along and bought it.
