As soon as I'm back to work I'm getting the alliance and your taildragger kit for my 49...
Every little bit would help I'd like the uprights because cut springs aren't cutting it and notch would be 1 step closer to my goal...

Me too Me too!!! '51 Chevy coupe! Plans are to be low, that's where you come in, smooth, and generally awesome! '54 235, vette cam, twice pipes, and a pair of carbs.

Awesome! I really need those dropped uprites for my 40' Plymouth...Fatman is the only company that I know makes em. If I win I promise I'll have them installed and documented on the HAMB before new years!!!

Count me in Alex! This is GREAT timing for me, as I just recently asked a VERY related question on the Shoebox group: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=26243

My dad is the reason I'm a hot rodder, like many of us here. The plan was to pull the stock flatty and build it mild, no bore or stroke, but make it strong and reliable. That part is done (with special thanks to Mike Herman at H&H for helping my along the way!) and the engine only needs a pair of carbs and linkage. We have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel ready for it too! :)

Getting the car back on the road is/was the first priority, then slamming it to the ground. He's been sick and getting worse and has maybe a few weeks left, but isn't suffering much thanks to morphine and fentenol. Here's a little of my dad's story... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=645837 ...and what our car club did for him this weekend. Sadly, I'll be inhereting the '50. :(

A few pics of the '50 as it sits today...

I'm never one to ask for a handout, and would be offended if someone were to think I wrote this for a pity vote. My dad is simply the greatest man I've ever known and the intent is to build this car as a tribute to him, the way he wanted to see it finished. These parts would certainly help me with that direction, and speed up the process.

If this project is considered, please consider that it will be built as a such and be well documented.

I can't believe you're doing this again.... You're going to go broke man! I hope lots of people that express the need for a notch kit but don't win end up BUYING a kit to support you.

I need a notch kit for my '54, but I think I'm going to need it sooner than Dec 11, so I would like to order one please. Put me in for the drawing, but I'll donate it for a HAMB auction or something if I win. Is that fair?

I'll PM you Alex, but dig out a notch kit for me please. And all you other guys that need a notch kit and don't win, I really hope you support Gambino by purchasing a notch kit.

It's going on the red '54 in this pic.

    Later.
