koddo's to you Gramps. Start them out young. Just look at the beaming smile on his face, tells the whole story doesn't it?

What a great sight to see ! Your grandson learning how to weld from his grandfather ! That's the way many of us learned many things we use today . It's good to see that this practice is still done and I am sure you were more than happy to teach him how to weld . Just think when he will be a young teenager he will have the welding skills that most at the age of 21 won't even have !
Now teach him well so he will also pass those same welding skills to his children . Then he will be able to tell his children that his Grandfather taught him how to weld when he was very young !
I can see by that huge smile on his face how happy he is to be learning how to weld !
We ALL should pass all we know to the younger ones !

Thanks for posting the picture...much to my fathers disappointment I didn't follow in his footsteps and instead starting playing with cars and metal at 14....42 years later and I'm still glad I did it. Now if only the rest of this country would get it's head out of the sand and realize the trades are what built this country! Keep up the good work!

This is awesome! I had my son out in the garage with me the other day and he kept wanting to look in my toolbox so I put him on the work surface and he dug right in! I figure it's a pretty good start for not even being 2 yet :D
