Hot Rods Fun test to see how well you know your 50's cars...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TinShed, Feb 6, 2015.

  1. 100% I used to be able to identify car lights behind me at night trying to I.D. the car if it were a police car or not. But now a days, I can't tell you what most new cars are even while looking at the names.

I got 96% , missed 2. I mixed up 2 on the same question as Hotrodprimer but I mixed up the Desoto and the Chrysler though. I took this same test years ago here and I believe I missed the same 2 then. the mercury one I had to dig deep in my mind , 51 wasn't a problem but the rest I had to think for a while first before answering. if asked 1 at a time without the 4 group together I might have missed it then.

First time years ago, I breezed through this only missing the 2 on the third set but this time had to think a little bit, getting older and don't play with cars as much as I'm in the toilet financially right now. been a few years since I went to a swap meet and used to do 7-10 a year, so I don't get the refresher course every few weeks anymore.

Got 100% correct. If I'd done that well in school I wouldn't be on the HAMB today. Glad that didn't happen, I like this place.:)

I clicked a wrong button and missed one, otherwise I would have gotten 100. pretty easy since they give you all the answers. it would be more challenging without them.

it says the average score is 73% , hopefully the HAMB score would be in the 90's at least.

if you go to the top and click "games" there are more of these auto trivia games on the site.

You got 100% (48 right out of 48). The average score is 73%.
    Thanks for playing!

I ran through it as fast as I could. I found that I was looking for the answer instead of looking for the car. I guess I know those '50s cars pretty well.

77% sorry to bring the HAMB avg down. Buicks and Pontiacs tripped me up , as well as a bad call or two on the Mopars. I'd like to see a pre war test.

100% but I am 58 and remember thumbing through my grandparents several-decades-long collections of Reader's Digest magazine, looking at car ads. It might be harder if it wasn't multiple guess and one had to identify make and year by writing it in.

74% not bad for a person who was born it the late 60s and was brought up with 1960s cars ( not to many old cars were I lived ) . the packards and kaisers and the Ford s of the 50's are what messed me up .

I'd say that was very good for a youngster such as yourself.
