Full flow oil filter

    My version of flathead full flow oil filter. :)

    Nice layout and well done. Did you do the machine work yourself? When you say full-flow, do you mean the oil to the rear main bearing is filtered as well? I've seen other layouts similar to this one and those aren't able to filter the oil to the rear main bearing. A little help please. I'm trying to figure out the best filtering arrangement for my own flathead.

    Interesting carb. What is it? Where did it come from? Please provide details to the rest of us flathead nuts.

    The carb is a early 50s merc unit.

    Yes, I did all work myself. No, the rear main is still unfiltered but it is still better than stock partial filter. The carb. is stock 51' Merc. Holley 885. :)

    Thanks for the info Bruce & Ichoptop. 51 MERC-CT, I appreciate the response. It is nice work. The installation looks very professional and neat. I hope mine turns out as nice. And again the H.A.M.B.'ers come through.

    Pretty slick setup. It look's a lot better than most of the systems I've seen out there for sale. You should patent it & start selling them.
