I know most were Fiats, T's, etc. but I know there were some full body altereds. I have a '39 Chevy two door sedan body and I'm just dreaming up some ideas.

Fantasia is one semi-well known full bodied Fuel Altered.
It never amounted to much, win count or speed wise...other than a great crowd pleaser. I saw it run at Irwindale and Orange County Raceways many times.

Too big, too heavy, pushing too much wind to go very quick or very fast.
    Still kinda cool though.

There were a bunch of 33/34 Fords running as Fuel Altereds. The shot below (red primer) is a modern update (much more power, much larger rear tires) of the original 15oz. Coupe. The Mooneyham and Sharp 554 33 Ford.

    There were a few others.

P.s. - I seem to recall the Fantasia Willys making a LOT of noise. Maybe the engine sound just radiated differently in that big body, but I do recall it sounding very different than the open cars.

Credit to the original photographer and poster. I think it's a Great Shot! Thanx. 15oz Coupe.jpg
