I was wondering where a good place to find a fuel pick up/sending unit for my 59 impala. I am too lazy to search the autoparts store when I can have it just show up at my doorstep. thanks in advance.

try one of the places that sells resto parts, I doubt you'd find it at a local parts store.

  4. I bought a universal sender for my '54 a while back from Napa (don't remember the part #). Thought it would just be the sender, but it came with the sender, a fuel gauge, and some wiring. The gauge is just a plain jane 2" chrome job. And it only cost about $32.00 for the works! The sender wasn't compatable with my factory gauge, in case your wondering. So I used the gauge they sent. It was a piece of cake to put in. And now when the gauge says empty, I know I've got a couple gallons to go.

  5. if you want to use your original gauge , you need a sender to match it. i believe pre 1964 chevies had a 0-30 ohm sender. checking Show Cars website , there appears to be a couple different senders available... check out their website:
