I am attempting to rebuild a mechanical Carter fuel pump. I have done enough web detective work to find out I need to grind the rivet that holds the diaphragm together ... and then drill and tap it for a screw to reassemble it. anybody have any insight into this or handy tips? Also...anybody know what thickness diaphragm replacement material I need to order for a Carter pump?
John, I think you can buy the entire diaphragm. Look here and call them https://www.google.com/search?q=car....69i57j0l2.10024j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
