Cleaning out the fuel system in my car after dealing with rust in the tank (tank is getting relined and a fuel pump rebuilt).

Any good ways/techniques for flushing any crap out of the fuel lines?

Just blow it out with compressed air. Then a new filter to catch any residual particals.

I had a 55 ford that had been sitting for 30+ years. I ran a spray can of brake cleaner thru the lines. Dissolved all the gunk, then sprayed with compressed air. Been running for a year and no plugged fuel filters.

I taped an old wite sock on the fuel line and sprayed some Brakleen in the other end, then blow it out with compressed air until the line blows clean on the sock.
Worked for me and it's a good use for those odd socks the dryer won't eat.
