Froze my ass off today. Needed to move the coupe upto my buddies place so we can get the car ready for Detroit Autorama.
Cold is cold no matter where you are. At 10:00PM last night here in West TN we were 5 degrees colder than Fargo. I feel your pain brother. Drove a 32 roadster 65 miles with a temp outside of 33 degrees one time. 48 Poncho
am by Fargo and was cutting wood in shirtsleves left the saw and tools all out here we are almost end of Dec and still have a open winter no snow at all will be interesting to see what Jan and Feb are like then theres all the indoor shows in march and april we usually have a flood then, the dirt on the riveway is so dry that it just powder we had almost no moisture this fall hope all goes well , beter start on the hauler truck next week for the show car back on the road with $4.00 diesel and 10 MPG i already feel broke no Christmas for the wife??
Last year about this time I had an appointment to get an ICD cancelled on me because we had a bit of a snowsquall issue here..it left approximately 6 feet of snow on us in 2 days...this year? Nuthin'...
Yeah , it's starting to feel like Winter up here now...no more wearing shorts outside for a few months. See you Feb 24th my Mono-Digit Brother!!
24 here at the moment but a pair of insulated coveralls help with winter time rodding. Just a minute ago I had to drag out the cutting torch to thaw out an outside faucet because I couldn't find my little propane bottle torch. Now I need to get some insulation on it before it freezes again.
Mid 50's here in Houston. Donned my SoCal swag and went for a cruise. Weatherman says we'll be in the 70's next week.
Know that feeling Was working on installing the axles and rear on the A project ,Had the garage door wide open all day ,At least tomorrow night I can keep the door closed,I might run out of kero though,,,
Prolly would have been warmer if he had 'nuff common sense to CLOSE THE BLOODY WINDOW! "That boy ain't right..."
Took the week off, going on a little walk through the salvage yard most of the day. It's the best time of year because all the vegetation is down.
I have a coworker just came from Ireland, never seen our winters yet. Hehe He'll be crying soon if not already... about 4 inches of white stuff here. It's pretty now but it gets old REAL fast.
It was so cold here last night I almost had to put on socks, got all the way down to 62 degrees, I was freezing! ...okay, maybe not.
You froze your ass working on the car or driving it? because if workin theres something you can do but you can live w/ the cold... but if driving, you can easily mount an heat exchanger. theres nothin cool about feeling miserable when you drive.
So I'm not the only one getting geeked about Autorama. I need to to get my door glass and back glass installed and the interior in before Detroit. I wanna have the '34 looking good for the Singlefinger display. Especially if it's going to be aywhere near your awesome deuce. I can't have ya making me look too bad. Looking forward to seeing you in the basement.
