What year did ford passenger cars come with spring in front of axle, straight wishbones?

Is there a reference or list that shows year and models of king pin to spring perch measurements?

    Thanks

  3. I know the '40 Ford has straight wishbones and the spring in front.
    Probably started easlier.

Kingpin to spring perch is smaller than some of the spring over axles.

For the axle dimensions, do a search. A few months ago there was detailed chart with all the info you want.

35-48 have the spring in front of the axle. that's easy. The straight wishbone part is the hard part. I know there are different shaped wishbones in different years but not which is which. It sounded like you were trying to identify an axle/wishbone year by the shape of the wishbone. This has come up in the past but not lately. If you go back far enough someone listed the wishbones by shape and year. I never bothered to memorize it.
