    I saw the picture from the HAMB drags of TB Dragster.....BEAUTIFUL ! It is missing a Blown Nitro 392 with weedburners.

    Just a A few more photos before this gets covered in paint.

    I had a real hard time reaching the decision to paint this. Randy's work is just so nice I was tempted to give it a brushed finish with ScotchBrite and leave it at that. Ultimately though, I went with the paint. Almost every dragster I've seen from that era had paint. They may have been rolling works of art, but their builder's sole intent was to create a loud, fast, kick-ass race car.

    Before posting the details of my front wing construction I'd like to illustrate a point.

    This is a photo of Don Garlits at speed. Note the distortion of the wing. Note also the weight bars attached to the front axle. In this case I feel that the wing could have been made a little bit stronger (and consequently heavier) and the added weight could have been offset by carrying a little bit less weight on the axle.
