Yeah, it is. I might do another one like that. The deal is, you still need to clean the heat affected zone or it oxidizes a bit, and the color is still not gonna be quite as vibrant. It's kind of a pain lol

 

I OWE IT ALL TO JIGGER. I thank you fellow fine artists for the compliments on my entry this week, "Mr. Belvedere" One of the things that makes it work so well is the radical underside angle. I wanted to capture a mean, aggressive, torque twisting, starting line attitude and to be honest I had jigger's work in mind when I shot the reference photos. He draws that angle a lot which is so cool because it makes you think how cars are put together. Hopefully we are influenced by one another in a way that allows us to add our own take without ever ripping anybody off. Then again, if you're going to steal, steal from the best.

My friend Laura is a DJ & a kitty cat fan so I jazzed up a Jimmy Flintstone Stray Cat shift knob for her birthday this week. Actually I just did the base, drew the lettering & did the blacks & whites. My friend Marty did all the other little detail stuff.

 

My friend Marty also did this to my GMP Stratocaster. It's 1/3 scale, so this area is pretty small.

 

Thanks! .. Now, if I can get that under the '34 tourer that I'm going to find in a shed..

There's a couple more in the works. I don't know how to convert a CDR file to something that can be viewed here (on editk I'm just dumb - forgot about "export"!!)- shirts don't photograph that well in the flesh

 

I had my project out yesterday and took a few photos. I sent this one to a friend and he suggested I post it here.
