New one for this week from me.
Dankyd- Nice work, I really need to get my oils back out. Love the texture on it.
Jigger- Been thinking about yours since last week. Seems to want to come out the tip of my paint brush for some reason. You may see it in something of mine in the future.
ToddJ- I really love that 27B car of yours for this week.
Lowriders Art- Looks great. I've been doing stuff with frames like that myself over the years but I never show them. Made some serving trays with a few of them.
Bomonster- Love the angle and the work. The curve of the foreground light really adds to the image.I like the signature location choice.
GaryC- I love all your work, period.
Ger- all your Rawk-A-Hula series have been some really great work.
smarjoram- Wow is a good word for it. I loved last weeks and ALL of these. My favorite is, top image, third row down, far right. The little sedan.
Dart165-The little sketch remnants in the image really give the car life.
Jennifer- Get those brushes yet? Always nice lines from you.

nothing new from me really. but i figured it toss up one in a patriotic color theme just to play along. linocut on paper, printed on a c1895 poco press, as usual...

and maybe one more, just for the heck of it. it's an oldie, but a good old fashioned american hot rod on the salt. which is where i'm going next month...

i'll have a new one in a couple weeks. kinda pushing my own limits with imagery and color and registration. so we'll see how it comes out.

  11. Thanks for the comments guys. Bernie, I'm honored. I consider it a great compliment
if I was able to inspire you in that way.

I forgot about this one, it's more like a 1 minute sketch but I wasn't counting...

Jeez, Louise! In my garage band days ('65-66) I had a Mini-Farfisa and Silvertone. I haven't even seen a photo of a Silvertone since then. Amazing any still exist. Gary

Mark, those lino cut posters are amazing - I'm putting in an order right now. Love the Falcon Gasser too. And I'm in awe of anyone who can pinstripe - my hands can't do that steady.

    Cool stuff Mr. Jones!!!

Here's a couple of untouched pics I shot at the So Cal open house. (Actually I got there late and El Jefe's The Waco Kid was the last car there!)

    Happy 4th!

LOWCAB , never thought about using the window frames for serving platters. Been selling them to Bars as wall sculpture. They look good hanging over the car couches I build. This might open up a whole new market. Thanks. Slim Pickens , new work is on the way. Working on some pieces for the 30th KKOA. I've kind of been in a slacker's slump. Friday Art show is bringing me out of it.
