    Your work reminds me of Stan Mott combined with William Motta. Your work is truly art! I'm glad you share it here.

  12. Thanks Slim, Jigger- appreciate the compliments. I really like the entries this week Mark. Bad Dart, & you got the best chicks.
    Slim, I' ve stated already how much I dig the shots. Squasha really appreciated the shot of the shoebox in the mud. It was a big party, befitting of my ol' mate.

    I want this Valiant ! ;

    Thanks for the kind comments. I only discoved Stan Mott a few weeks back. The guy was insane! Driving around the world in a go-cart?! Some very funny illustrations too. Love the aircraft carrier for the desert.

    Enjoyed looking up William Motta. Some of his work reminded me a bit of the great illustrator Bernie Fuchs' work.

    Tingler - brilliant! Totally original - hope to see some more.

    Strictly to get some oil back on the brushes, I really liked the picture of the Stu Hilborn lakester in the RnC about 6 issues back, couldn't tell if it was a photo or a painting and that is what made me give it a crack. This is only my fifth attempt with oil paint and I kind of like it. Time to let it dry and get back to it. Found some cool stuff called liquin. Wish I had more time to dedicate to painting, but the day job still lets me create.

    Another great week. Such a skill and talent pool here.

    Jigger, keep repoppin'. I love your style and I like seeing the ones I missed the first time around.

    I wonder how many members there are who don't check these threads and don't know what they are missing here.

    So good I went back for seconds. The roadster with the magnesium no window Hals and the p40 is about one of the most beautiful paintings, I could stare at that one for hours. You can HEAR that one. Right up there with the Ol Masters and such. That one may have knocked old Mona down a notch. Great stuff everyone, that's just what I need to see to keep the fire burning.
