Love the green Art-Deco! I want to try a koi, but any attempt will pale in comparison to yours. Is it on glass? It looks like it wants to pop right off the surface!

Thanx, glad you like it. I used to see the original run at Atco in the 60s. Here's another one I saw run at the nostalgia drags there.

Hey Everyone! Inspirational as usual. Im not feeling as worthless this week, took some time and made something for myself. Then I took the time to make enough of them to fill the scanner bed.

    Keep up the good work!

Great work from everyone! As if the FAS is ever anything but amazing.

Did a little this week. First, when I have time I usually toss a quickie on the outside of the packaging when someone buys one of my pieces, just my way of saying thanks for supporting your HAMB artists.

    Second, just another striped panel.

    Great show again this week.
Dutch Courage - Love the ink work!
Neo Dutch - Really great engraving! Wish I could do that.

Here is my piece "Savage Beauty".
It is mixed media on vintage newspaper.
I used all kinds of stuff on this one. India ink, rattle can spray paint, acrylics and oil paint.
The newspaper is from WWII. You can see a map of Germany behind her face. The allies are pushing on to Berlin. Yeah! Also there is a little notice honoring our fallen president Franklin Roosevelt.

I do love me some Hudsons!

Thanks to Clysdale and timebombkustoms for providing the Tiki Frank and Skull knobs respectively. I took Frank and repainted him a bit then boxed him between some bamboo I did a poly/stain on.

The rods are 6 cyl. which i tore up a bit, then rusted them overnight with a vinegar/hydrogen peroxide/salt spray.

    Spin

Super sweet stuff from everyone this week! Here is the other stuff that I have been working on. Some mini posters. 6" x 17" letterpress printed on esse pearlized metallic paper in black and metallic gold. I cut a single background out of linoleum then cut individual shift knobs as a second color.

Here is the version on chipboard.

Here is a close up of "Skull-eye" and the letterpress printed wrap that goes around the box. Hand letterpressed in 3 colors. The blue in the background of the box is hand set wood type with photopolymer plates presses in metallic silver and black.

Then last week I got a wild hair to have shop rags for Gear Grinder in Kansas City tonight and tomorrow.

And because I just can't figure out when to stop a runaway project I screened some mechanic shirts with the design last night also.

I love it when you guys do this. I've gotten several pieces from artists who throw a little ditty on the shipping box. I always cut them out and save them. Sometimes I like them better than the pieces that they originally housed. Very cool.

Sorry the pic is a little blown out....

    a close up...

and a quick little franky ink and watercolor from last weekend...
