Clysdale, that board is way too kool.

Just finished this ukulele for the Tiki Eyeball artshow. There were 40 of these things sent out to different artists. I really hope mine stands out.

    Harry's Air Show
Harry Luzader was from Monroeville, PA and the Deuce coupe
that he built was second to none in build and elapsed times.
The fit and finish was excellent and he vanquished most all
challengers in the late 60s and early 70s with this wheelstanding coupe.
It was recently named one of the top 75 Deuces by the Ford Motor Co.
Although the car was sold and later pro streeted it currently sets
dismantled. Nothing exemplified the Pittsburgh style in rods
    better than what Harry created!

    My HAMB Art Challenge entry.

This is a good place to put this. My free hotmail wouldnt connect with Kustom7777, so I couldn't send him some of my quick&dirty pics of his shoebox hes cutting up. I didn't feel like waiting on the mail , so I'm putting them on here. Kinda gets everyone involved. Jim was thinking about 59 Chevrolet tailights, I wasn't so sure, so that usually leads me to drawing it out in case I was missing something. I like the enlongated 54 Chevy tail lights or the Comet tail lights, but it ain't my car. Hey Jim, hope you see this!:D

Here is a painting done for a fellow HAMBer. They havn't got it yet, but it's done.
This is the start, probably the most time consuming part for me.
Anybody have an interest in me showing the progression of this painting?
    Initial drawing.

I'm posting this for my buddy. He's not on the HAMB. He made this up for our shirts for this years BBQ. He's a great artist, but this is the first time he's ever drawn a car. Not bad for a beginner.

  21. great stuff guys!

I was one of the lucky guys to get a Jalopy Journal log book a couple weeks ago and I don't have anything to "log" really I've been defiling it with random doodles and stuff. I thought I'd post what I do each week while I should be doing something else :D

Here's one I did a couple months ago. Background was done to look like Turquoise stone and looks more real in life then it does in these pictures. The whole job was done with 1-Shot. Who says you cant clear 1-Shot without it lifting??.

    OK then.
    Part 2
I paint white over everything except the lines. Some places I do pretty thick and textural.
Then I did a wash of red over the whole thing. The red wash then settles into the cracks
and texture of the white. Threw in a wash of brown too. Then went with white again on areas
that will have highlights later on in the end. Still a long way to go.
    The painting is 20"X24".

Next comes a complimentary color to the red tones. I add the same color to various shadowed
areas in the painting. This blue later will peek out in areas that will get covered with even
darker colors later on. I always come back and continue to add highlights to keep my bearings
on the look. It enables me to judge what stays and what goes. Sometimes in the end what
was painted earlier gets completely covered in time.
