    FlyingP that 'Bird is awesome!

And LOWCAB (sorry for the mistake earlier) the Hirohata looks totally cool!

So for a theme I thought i'd throw a mix of Hirohata and T-Bird. This project is underway at Hollywood Hot Rods.

Looks very familiar... Glad to be an inspiration for new work. I'm going for a more classic, older look with my drawing of Pete's truck. Those fenders he's got on there do have some great lines, crazy looking, but I like it.

Sneak peak of my next poster...

    The Prohibition Express

Once my 57 wagon is on the streets I plan on making this a reality. I am working a classic style Root Beer logo to go on the hand made aluminium tank/trunk on the back.

  10. Thanks Blackie. I think this is the first time I've seen your work on here. I'm fairly new here, tho. Just to give credit where credit is due, the Hirohata you saw is the work of LoCab. Below is the rough sketch of the one I'm working on. It'll be done in Prismacolor, one on acrylic and, hopefully another in 3-D, color tinted, bronze.

  11. Still needs a lot of work, tho.

  12. Wow!

So,... is it safe to post a custom van this week?
I fully realize this is a Hot Rod Forum and I'm willing to take the heat for it. Call it a wild hair aching to be pulled.

    Sincerely,

    your pal,

One last one to round out the Barris set I did.
George B and Brett B said I could print these up but I could not use the Barris crest in the printed versions. I have never done any prints of these.
I hope I did not post this one last week. If I did I'm sorry.

  17. P.S.S. That T'bird is beautiful; you really caught the look, man.
What medium is it rendered in?

  18. ...and believe me, THIS BABY can FLY!
I'm only posting this 'cause LoCab says it's O.K. and he's got credibility 'cause I've seen his work.

It startedlife as one of them Chevy vans.
I think the "fared-in" fog-lights might be a bit excessive.
I think I'll finish a larger rendering of it with interoir shot all around, no mirror balls tho.

It really takes about six before you can fully appreciate my work. That Buick was a shot my wife took at your show. Anything to get the wifey involved.
    Thanks again,

I like that one the best, too. Although, it's kinda like saying I like one of my kids better than the other... it may be true, but I probably shouldn't admit it.

  29. Aaaaaoooohhh!.....You're right. I blame myself. Now let's never speak of it again.
(note to self,.....No 70s,80s,90s vans on HAMB, and that '73 ElCamino is RIGHT OUT! cleanse self by fasting and wearing sackcloth and ash for 7 days , on 5th day of fast post Pierson Bros. coupe @ El Merage. That'll fix 'em.)

    Sorry LoCab
