So Cory Moore is a partner in the Austin Speed Shop. He has a new venture on S. Congress in Austin called Luther's. It is a Man's man store and Badass. Our friend James Austin did this for him...James of the awesome green 56 Chevy pickup with the FatLucky's interior from TRJ a few issues back. Who knew....??

  13. Well I don't usually (ok this is the first time) post in this thread, but I check it out a lot. Anyway, I've been wanting to upgrade my crappy home made MS Paint avatar for a long time. While in Japan, I thought it would be cool to have one of the local pin stripers make me up one. So I got in touch with none other than Makoto and this is what he came up with. I am so thrilled! Not sure if it's cool to post others work or not, but I'm definetly not taking credit for it! Now I need to figure out how to take a better pic without glare or reflections and make my avatar. Thanks again Makoto san!

Sorry I'm late. My work schedule is retarded. Great work by everyone, as usual. Each week gets better and better.

I've been doing some sketches during down time at my job. Sorry I don't have any finished pieces this week, but all of these will be inked and/or painted by next Friday. By the way, the steering wheel of a Freightliner makes a really crappy drawing desk. Haha... Also, my scanner is not working, so I had to post photos from my digital camera.
Anyway, without further ado, here's the junk I've been working on....

Ed, I have given the H.A.M.B link of your work to 9 people now, they
still refuse to believe the renderings are not B&W 8mm Still shots.

Uhh, you're a Realtor? Seriously? Because you are an amazing digital artist!
Of course, the arts usually won't cover the mortgage, huh ;-)

    Great work from all.

Ain't that the truth!! If I could make a living drawing and painting, I wouldn't have to sketch on the steering wheel of a filthy truck in the middle of the night. Haha. It's tough out there. No one wants real artists any more. They only want to hire computer animation experts and then pay them 12 bucks an hour. They don't call us "starving artists" for nothing.

Ed, your ability to successfully render surface reflection differences between hard chrome and the softer polished stainless surface is beyond belief; A distinction that would be difficult for the photogropher to achieve. You are a master.
