I showed a mild -53 Opel a couple pf weeks ago, this is a new version of the same car. I gave it a carson top to get rid of the hopeless roof. The fender lips has also been reworked along with a few other mods.

Good looking lettering.. lettering is a different animal.. Most guys will tell you, they learn to draw, then to stripe, then last comes the lettering.. and for some, it never comes at all. Its a rare art that we don't see much of today cause of computers and millions of fonts availible BUT!! I see a lot of big ad companies using more and more hand drawn lettering BECAUSE you just don't see it anymore.. Good work!

I'm heading out for Detroit right now! Got the truck warming up.

I'd still like someone to post the my tribute paintings here..
    thanks.

As for some art for this week, Check this out! Part of being a good stripper is being flexible and knowing Different looks. This guy brought my this car and said "Think 70's lowrider".. He did the scalops, just wanted me to outline them and do "whatever"

I'll admit, I had fun with this!! The whole car is kinda a joke, and he knows it. Like he said.. "what else do you do with a four door Impala?" ("Well," I said, "You take the 327 out of it and shove it off a cliff" but thats just me):D

Man.. growing up I saw my dad do so many God damn CURLY QUES like this.. Ginger bread, whatever you wana call it. I hated these things for a long time, now I just smile at them and shake my head. About 5 years ago I convinced my dad to get away from them unless the customer REALLY wants them. I said "You gotta stop that Von Trucker shit pops!" He looked over his glasses and said. "That Von Trucker shit put food on the table for a long time.." Hard to argue with that.

Here's something I've started the other night.I'm no Norwell by any means,it's a little rough around the edges. The first time that I have put lead and ink to paper in over 20 years.Still getting the details dialed in.

    Hit the road Jack!
A 1937 Lincoln Zephyr has such naturally flowing lines
that you can't help but want to turn it into a
    ground scraping, tail dragging, lowrider.

I would love putting on some Ray Bans, a panama hat,
slouching down behind the wheel and just plain go cruising
    in this one.

Actually Lincoln did not make a 1936 coupe - the coupe first appeared as a 1937 model.

    GaryC.

Ford Motor Company thinks they made a 1936 Zephyr Coupe.
But, then again, they may have considered their sedan a coupe.
    Hmmmmm.

THIS JUST IN! I stand corrected.
According to the definitive source of all things factual, Wikipedia,
the coupe WAS introduced in 1937!
Regardless of year, they were beautiful!

    Thanks for the eagle-eye Weasel.

    Alright! Detroit addition?! I'm in.

Here is an advertisement I just finished for Brothers Custom Automotive (Bill & Steve Jagenow) here in the Detroit area for a future issue of Ol' Skool Rodz.

Also, for those heading to Detroit Autorama, you can pick up a 'zine I did the cover(s) for Vintage Torque for $5 at the Cool Stuff booth from John Wells.

He'll be up front with all the Rat Fink stuff. There is also a nifty lil' article about me stuck in there.

Cheers from the frozen motor city.

  25. Here is my latest design. It was actually a commissioned tattoo piece that represents medias skewed portrayal of events. It is now available in limited edition giclee prints on canvas.
