Hey HAMBers, it's getting late here'bouts. This: a sketch I drew with a BIC, scanned to P'shop, layered onto a stained background set to color burn. Got to wonderin what the rear-end looks like. Added its WIP...

My other (twin brother)boys placed 2nd and (kindergartner)4th for non-car related art! If all goes as planed maybe I can retire early after they get famous?!

Wow... what a great auto art show. I've missed this place the last couple of weeks, but here's a "catch up" design from a couple of years ago - an idea for the Motorburg Shop Truck (with detail). "How's My Driving?"

Back in the day the Board Boys didn't put that much effort into a vehicle. - Two requirements room for people and room for boards - get me there and as close to home as possible.

Built a plastic model, took a photo, then did some photoshop effects on it.

By 'effort' do you mean 'horsepower'? Is my Ford motor too big for the beach?

By effort I mean work - they wanted driveable, room (2 or more buds+babes), boards, + room for whatever the babes needed.
Very little went into the engine, body, paint or chrome. - They didn't race or show - they hung at the beach or home.
The show cars of the era that depicted "Surfers" were built by the show car builders and toured the circuit.
"Surfers" and "Rodders/Customizers" did not get along.

Your art is steller - I am amazed at your and the other artists talents. I have no ability to transfer whats in my mind onto any medium without causing injury to myself or others.

I apologize if my remarks offended you - I have always been bugged by the
"Surfers" and "Rodders/Customizers" mix on here - Then I saw your perfect Hot Rod (with a Ford) that had a board hanging on it - and - well we are conversing about it.

Oh, hey, this is valuable insight! I've been land-locked my whole life. My only exposure to surfing? Beach Blanket Bingo and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Ooohhh gnarly...

No offense a'tall my friend. Too bad surfers and rodders didn't get along, though. Both equal freedom and boards fit on rods.

  26. If it is supposed to be a cartoon,
then it doesn't have to be practical,
    or historically accurate. Right ?

We all have seen the 55 GMC L'UNIVERSELLE. My bro customcory draws stuff then throws it down on the floor like trash. I spotted this crumpled up nugget today as I swept up.
