Beautiful work guys, here is my contribution for this week: cast aluminum and brass:
pictures of cars

wow! what is it jmcglynn? do you have any progress shots?
Here's mine for the week
David - love the Banditas!
jmcglynn - you gotta share your process in how you made that. INCREDIBLE!
Man that looks like crap.
Is that the "Poop Coupe"?

And a little before & after. A good friend of mine is an avid spear-fisherman, and I go inspired to do a spear-fisher tiki. So the before pic shows the beat-up piece of palm I found at the dump (next to my $30 craigslist score - the red & white late 50's rollfast cruiser), and after is the spearfished so far (haven't done the face yet, just prepped the head and rough cut the body with a chainsaw). Note the ULTRA REALISTIC cardboard fish on the spear.
Man, you stuff is so freaking cool!!! You have some serious talent.
I just finished this for my upcoming show...
Kirk, that is awesome. I thought for a minute it plugged into the wall which would add to it's awesomeness.
you're having a show?? Cool can I come? I was just wondering if you took the jellybelly factory tour for inspiration???
Hey Thanks 66Newport, KC and Nate!
I know I've been a little OT these last weeks but October is always the busy time for me....cranking on 4 DOD shows! Great show this week guys...keep it up! MORE!
Yes, I'll have flyers tomorrow.
Ha ha I forgot about those portraits there!
Thanks for the inspiration KIRK!
I know I posted two of these at the end of the art show last week but it was pretty late. Been busy with OT stuff still. I did get the last of the 3 (the little blue dude) done so...
These are 3 separate paintings. 4"X6"
Here are some designs I did for some guys in the 1/150th assault helicoptor battalion. They were fans of my work, and asked if I could help them out. This particular group fuels the birds, and they're known as the gassers, hence the '55, and the fuel truck. I am really stoked about it. It's kinda like when guys would write to Walt Disney during WWII and ask them to do insginias and nose art. I am so honored.
Nice Kirk! I like it. I keep trying to read it like there is a hidden message or something.
Django - love the gas truck one the best!
Oh, they're in there alright.
r a d !!!!
Why doesn't that surprise me?
Great work Kirk, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Great stuff guys.
Thanks for stepping up for the Troops.
Nice one KCsldz ! Another great Friday show, something I always look forward to.
I'd like to thank all the artists who post their amazing work to this thread on a regular basis. It inspires many of us to get a little bit more creative and to bump up our own work. It sure has made a difference in the way I take pictures.
Great show as usual!
Thanks man! I grew up over in "crap" Rapids, I miss the westside!
If nothing else I don't like doing the same thing twice Every piece you can find something new that works, and just add it to the arsenal!
Took a break to doodle a quick 'toon for fun.
Nice work! Pinholes + real talent = good shots
erok805 & virtualvanner - Thanks - this is phase 1. all I can get done last night. needs color and some line refinement to clean things up.
WilieG - that is a damn fine doodle!
Kirk - more pics of the "block frank". I'll get out my secret message decoder ring. I need to know what secrets are hiding within!
