    Great start guys.
Gary, I really dig the Belles Air sisters.
Completely OT, sorry, but I think it could be the perfect ambulance for Daytona Speedway… and you? :D

    Hello,

With all of the popular So Cal car events happening during the year, here is a reminder: A desktop, car show, reminder box for the shows you like and want to attend. Make your own or use this one. As the event is over, just turn the box to another side for the upcoming show. A different color for each side, put in photographs, write in notes, etc… “to each his own.”

    Jnaki

The yellow tabs are for gluing to finish the desktop box. Printer paper, card stock, shiny manila paper, etc, they all work with this pattern. Lightweight and handy, if you make a mistake and you saved your work, just re-do another one. Card stock is very sturdy, holds up well and usually will not crush. On your computer, make the box pattern, add designs, colors or photos, pre-fold all lines, and glue. You can also use this box pattern for a custom, gift box, too.

Yes, I left off the GNRS and LARS…But, for most of the local hot rodders, these free events surpass those big bucks events.

Last weekend I picked up this old torch from the late Dave Stuckey estate. I was just going to hang it on the wall of the shop for inspiration but thought it needed something.
After a bit of thought, I figured, what would be more fitting than a ''Li'l Coffin", in candy red of course,
    R.I.P. Dave.

  17. Pulled out this old drawing that I did way back when I owned a 33 Vicky. You can tell the age (70's) by the fat back tires. This was going to be my build but I decided to sell it and build an A sedan instead. I wish now I built the Vicky.

After talking with a couple artist on the HAMB, one of them Ruben, I have decided to add to Fridays art. I use to supplement my vintage Harley & Indian shop with an occasional piece of art to help pay the bills. In the 80's I did Mountain Men and Indian paintings, later in the early 90's I started to do vintage motorcycle racing & vintage hot rods. I started my first two hot rod paintings back then, and never finished them. As of this year I am semi retired and decided to paint again , so I dug out the two paintings after 23 years. Travis's 86, and the 32 coupe are in the first hours of painting, both are about a quarter done. The simple Prisma Color sketch of Carl Goudy on his big valve Excelsior at Dodge City Kansas, 1915 was done in 1994, and printed. I'm adding a couple of my off subject paintings from the 80's for reference to style of painting with acrylics. The portrait is of a good friend & fellow HAMBer Bill McElley, or "Colorado Bill".

I hope you don't mind but I wanted to see how this looked vertically. Plus,
    I removed a few poles.
