From the silent 1929 science-fiction adventure movie, "High Treason".
Possibly the first, special-built, movie prop car. The futuristic look of the movie, and the car,
were kind of amazing when you think of the year 1929. I did a night scene to enhance the intrigue.
I wonder if the real car still exists? Here's a YouTube clip ( :53 - 2:07 ) of the car
cruising down the road to a border crossing.
Nice work Bob, jBert and Gary. My turn with this just finished project... It will be an official part of my dreamer series as well under the title:

Hi there, here's my contribution for this week :
From the movie "Badlands"
Lettered these truck doors for a friend. His grandfather bought the truck new in 1960. 15 years ago or so the truck was sold and went to Florida. A few years ago he was able to buy his grandfathers truck back and it was untouched by the last owner. It looks rough but, he has gone through all the mechanicals the truck runs like a top.
A little striping
I know your wondering why a Ronald statue. This was done for a local automotive museum. It was placed with a collection of Ferrari's old to new which one was used raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
JBurt, thank you ..very cool capture...
Jigger, thanks ..love that truck!
robber, thank you ......great set of photos this week......
Mods, how about a sticky......we haven't had one in several weeks.
Great stuff everyone! Friday Art Show is where it's at.
Gary C, that concept is awesome, and so is the film clip. Never heard of High Treason before...the car looks very French. But man, it has everything! Cool cars, gunfights, art deco, touchscreen technology (!), chicks in bikinis....or the 1920s equivalent, haha.
Okie Pete-- love it...the roller bearing cage makes for great teeth.
Lowcab--all movies should have a 'heavy' driving a hot rod!
Here's a sketch I did a while back after seeing an intriguing but fugly half-built survivor on the HAMB:
Hope this art doesn't get deleted, but if it does.....so be it. 32" buss saw blade with a pinwheel barn quilt. And a walk lens out of a traffic signal with some Sailor Jerry art. My wife thought is was a little to "extreme".
Bump-a-T-bump! "5 Alarm T” repo!
