  2. @emil, art in whatever medium you choose is always welcome on this thread. Just make sure the content of that art is not inappropriate.

Some more of my old flyer artwork xxxfl4.jpg xxxfl1.jpg xxxfl2.jpg

Back in the pre-computer days, our show flyers would have to be completely hand-done. Having years of sign/truck/race car lettering behind me, made me the likely candidate for that too.

  11. Thanks quick85.. The look and style of the Willys gassers has always fascinated me and I've never had the chance to own one so what the heck why not realize my fantasy in art form.

Earlier this week my wife's aunt asked if I would like an item of her grandfathers. He owned the first Ford dealership in our small town and his father owned the first Ford dealership in Madison. She says there is a lot more stuff they don't want and unbeknownst to me a lot they have thrown away.

This hung in the dealership for years. It is kinda large at 2 1/2' by 2'. I was happy to take it off her hands before she threw it out!

Wow, what a Friday Art Show despite the small amount of submissions
so far today. Jigger came up with one heck of a show board for the Falcon
and, once again, 57 Corvette Bob shows how important background is to
the enjoyment of art. He could replace that rod with a vintage Ferrari or
a new Porsche and the result would still be outstanding. I've said it before
and it bears repeating, I really respect what all of you artists can do.

  16. Thanks Quick !

Did a bit more work on a possible tee shirt design.

Thank you, Stogy. I believe he died some time ago and now they're just getting around to sorting through his stuff. A few weeks ago my wife's cousin stopped by and gave me a box of old license plates. I didn't think too much of it because he didn't know much, he just said "I thought you would like these." (the surviving family are not car people) Then my wife's aunt came by with that framed Ford Parts piece. She said she did not know I was "so into old Fords" until my wife's cousin mentioned it, which is kinda weird because she knows I have a Model A. She said there is more stuff (and they have zero interest in any of it) so I will be giving her a call! :D
