    GaryC.

Take a ride on the Wild Side
What will we make hot rods from when all of the resources dry up?
Maybe cool stuff will still roll out of garages without a deuce or T body.
I took a 1964 Chevy Stepside pick-up and cut it up bobber style.
The result is sort of a bobber-showrod-custom thingie.
I guess that the acid test is this. Would you drive it?
I'd drive the Kandy Raspberry paint off of this one.

    "The Wild Side."

A little "Merry Christmas" to all of you. Just kind of fell out of the end of my brush the other day.

  3. Very, very cool GaryC.! I even dig the colors!
    Tight stripes GV!

This is my entry for the Speed Equipment Art Challenge.

I think Nate is contemplating extending the deadline of the Art Challenge until the end of the year...
That means you have two extra weeks to crank out a dandy and contribute! (For those who havn't contributed already.)

Gary C, That's freakin awesome. I drove a '65 Chevy Stepside throughout high school so I can relate to that custom version. Here's mine for the week. A commissioned piece for my buddy's boss!

G V! Nice striped xmas tree! Very cool!

Dutch- I love that design! That is fantastic, man! I'd love to see that on a tee shirt.

    Hope you dig it!!!

  7. Uraidla Rod Run 12/7/08
I got word the night before the run that my dad had suffered a heart attack. He's 2000 miles away. We've talked on the phone- he's hanging in there. He & Carol live out in the sticks. She's hurt her knee since but she'll be right. Thank god for the good people of Booyal, Bundaberg & Brisbane- we'll catch up soon.
I decided to go to Uraidla. My Dad has always encouraged me to paint and I painted this 24 by 36" acrylic on site in honour of him. He'd prefer horses to cars but this is where it's at. The finished painting took about three hours from go to whoa.
Thanks to the gate guys & Len Vodic for tolerance & grace- and to all the folks with a kind word thank you.

  10. ToddJ - nice '59 ElCamino - one of my favorites.
Spoggie hope your Dad is going to be alright. Checked your album - good work going on there.

A few Ford emblem details from me this week. Tweaked and cropped photos I took earlier this year.

FNG here, thought I'd quit lurking and throw on a couple pics. I am amazed at the art that is posted on here every week and at the responses and positive words for the newcomers. You may have seen a couple of these shots in an earlier post that I did about some local river cars. I cleaned up and played with these shots, hope you enjoy them. I am not sure how you post them other than as thumbnails, anyone want to explain? Thanks for sharing your talent and inspiring us.

    I'm glad you posted these.

Your drawings were a big hit with everyone, especially with Vicki and me.
I've shown ours to several folks and they were all amazed at your work.
Thanks again to you, and of course, Doc.

All the art posted on here just keeps getting better every week. The talent is astounding!

Great Show this week guys. Found some more of my brother cory vaughn's (1994-1995) drawings. A little to large to scan so they look yellowish under indoor soft white lights. Maybe he will do something new soon and I wont have to go through this sh*t.

  28. I tried earlier to post this, but was wrong version for some stupid reason. I don´t know why, but i loaded the right one to the photobucked, linked it into here as usual but each time, the old one came up...even after i have deleted it and made sure i loaded the right version...several times...weird!
