    Bloody Mary (ink)

Built by a teenage John Bolster and his brother in 1929 with a 1914 J.A.P 760CC MILL, for 25 pound sterling, this little car went on to impress and dominate at sprint & climb races in the U.K pre and post-war. John said the car was 'at home sideways'- Alec Issigonis (Mini Minor) drove it and was terrified.

My quick & dirty sketch tries, at least a little, to resemble this wooden- chassis wonder in it's post 1934 set-up with twin J.A.P engines giving 1962cc.

...Here's a pretty cool Plate for the Ole Printing Press...There are a huge amount of really cool threads lurking around to be discovered...

Amazingly there was a transition once the ink transferred to the print...

Hamber @klazurfer had this given to him some years ago...How cool is that...

If you click the thumbnail below you can cycle the images to see what happened...;)

"Subsequent owners of the coupe continued to race it until George Barris bought it and modified it for The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, then put it on the show circuit. Car show promoter Bob Larivee then bought it and, rather than modify it again, had Chrisman restore it to its last Chrisman configuration."

    Hello,

There seems to be a ton of information and photos of the original Chrisman Brothers Root beer colored, chopped coupe. It is an icon of early hot rodding. We have been part of that trend. But, our early car show era had some interesting changes made to the coupe, good and bad.

Bad…most everyone hated it for destroying a super coupe made locally in So Cal. But, good in that the famous George Barris, now had a show car that drew even more spectators and photographers to the hot rod/custom car world.

“In the episode titled “drag strip dobie that aired November 15, 1960. Shortly thereafter, the coupe was bought by ISCA promoter Bob Larivee, who showed it until its glory faded, then stored it for two decades.”

“You probably remember (and prefer) the Model A, as it graced the cover of the May 1954 Hot Rod. Blurbed as “the most fantastic coupe.” In many ways, it was. Mid engined, radically chopped, and cleverly fashioned from bits of old Fords, this revolutionary racer set the style for competition coupes, forever.”

    Jnaki

    Let the battle begin…

Notice the 3 spoke knock off spinner on the rear wheel. How does that fit into a great looking,
5 bar/ridge, 5 hole magnesium wheel design without looking out of place?
