Here's an old school-styled sketch I did for fun. I might make a print out of this one.

That has to be one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. Love how the cards look in the background.

To all, great show!!!! Really shows me how little talent (or actually lack of) that I don't have... Wish I would have learned to draw as a kid.

one bad apple! shout out to our friends at lee's vintage car shop?

  5. Widewhitewalls your visual description of your project really nails it. I am thinking in layers all the time when creating laser cut artwork. Got to remember how things stack up. PS That would make a great candidate for a larger laser cut piece!

Haven't posted any thing new in a while. Getting established in Chicago after moving from California. Regained acces to a new laser cutter and was able to create a couple of test projects. Cut from recycled cardboard and painted with leftover latex house paint. Hope to be doing more artwork with better results in the future.

Thanks for the compliments Gary, Jigger, Larry, and everyone else. Nice to be back and able to contribute.

Dan - It's an actual vehicle. Now days, I don't really have time to do art "just for fun", especially nice stuff (I'm talking to you, Larry!) So most of what I post is taken from my day job or freelance work, so they're specific vehicles they want drawn. Sometimes I modify things and dress it up with some background elements just for me. In the case of that one, it was a Wyotech shirt design that they provided the background art for. I just illustrated the sedan from a photo they sent, and dropped it into their design.

Thank all for the kind words on the first one.
Here is the other one I just got done with. If you cant tell it is done with two layers of wood. Sorry about the picture size. Some of you may even recognize the car.

The way the wood grain flows with the paint is just stunning!

  27. Nothing new to add to this great show. Bernie, that wood piece is the best!

Wide Whites, I love the Manifolds on Main stuff. A big thanks to you, BART, and all the guys
who contribute to that group. Talk about a great bunch - - - BART, thanks for the package, I'll be working up some new stuff in anticipation of next year, buddy.

I did bang this out. (Probably why I had to work so many late hours)
