Some yard art a good customer asked me to help with. It started as a steel "container box". I made the distressed signs and did the lettering. A fun project. finished front.jpg

Thanks @catdad49 yes this is a refreshing time of year...temps here average in the 55-65 this time of year with a few around 70...less to nil bugs, the Fall colors kicking in and some stunning moons...Great for daytime Hotrod jaunts...

  13. Hey Stogy thanks for the complements and photo. I remember way back in the day we all thought that that was the wave of the future and that we soon would all be buzzing around in our "Airocars". Flash forward and I'm still waiting for that to happen so in the meantime I guess I'll just enjoy cruising around in my good ol 32 Chev.

Your welcome Moose, I got caught up in it too with my VTOL Aircraft but that magic bullet in propulsion seems as you say still many moons away...I will too enjoy the gas scene for all it's worth...I hope that will be for many moons to come...

    Hey S,

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, we have seen some big pumpkins, too. The 1959 El Camino Custom Station Wagon was an idea that we have not seen. The style is there with the favorite 59 Chevy front end and fins. So, it just seemed like a natural to see the Nomad style top and a continuing of the two door idea from the El Camino. Everything else in real life is there for the modifications.

We tried to grow a large pumpkin with some odd ball seeds when our son was a toddler. The first year, it grew to be about two feet across. Because we did not take into consideration the large depression in the ground, the bugs got to the bottom and crushed it from the inside out.

The next year, we were a little better in preparations. Several redwood planks were in the area where the little pumpkin was growing. It was away from the moisture and bugs in the ground. It grew large, but, again, not a large as those farmers up in the Bay Area coastal farms. The ones we grew were able to be picked up and put on a wagon for our front porch, with two hands...

    Thanks again...

    Jnaki

The 1959 El Camino turned into a Nomad style 2 door station wagon is still around in our "cloud" arena. Perhaps, one day it might be feasible, unless time runs out.
