  3. I'll pin up a few oldies. Two digitals, a photo- referenced watercolor ( I usually steer clear of these) & a plien air acrylic. The truck is one some folks seem to dig.

Anyway this is an idea my wife saw at a craft show and thought 'I can do that'.
SO last weekend at the family farm we spent a few hours doing this:

Please remember that the camera is pretty shitty and I mean shitty, This weekend we will use a better camera and a tripod to get them really clear.

With out further ado, I give you my first FAS submission.

Buick59- Awesome shots again. Do you stack your shots in photoshop or use any post processing OR do you just use an extremely long exposure and run around the shot to do your lighting? I have been wanting to try this more and would rather not do post processing so wonder how you got your effects.

  11. This is so cool Rollie, is it for sale or hanging on your walls?

Painting with light. Just open up with some long BULB exposures, walk around the subject and light it up with a flashlight. Most shots it a takes a few frames to get it right (for me at least). Which means hours sitting in the dark if you are shooting a few different vehicles. Shoot during a full moon when you can, that way you get a lot of strong natural light, which helps cut down on exposure time and digital noise. Also those new fangled bright white LED flash lights are the best to use. They give you the closest to 5200K color temperature.

Hey Guys! So much Great Stuff and only on Page 3....

I finally have something to share. The 2010 Firebird Raceway Halloween Classic Hat design. This is a hybrid of 2 drawings by 2 different artists, the Pumpkin & Wheelie Bar from 1 Artist, the Pipes & Flames, Wheels, Moon Shape Background, & Halloween Classic from another. I worked the Two together to give the design some more width & to use the parts which I knew I could get away with the most detail. This is the 1st proof on a 6 panel hat, sewing over the Center Seam. The Only revision was the Addition of a Yellow Eye (Thanks to Ger) and a Change in the Lettering Color to Orange. The Overall Height is 2.20 Inches tall.

............and something we are really proud of. While we where in Columbus for Good-Guys Kirk asked if we would be interested in coming up with something cool for the gazette cover. I have always wanted to shoot inside the AG center and the facility was kind enough to oblige me. Thanks to Kirk for really making our art POP on this months cover...........To say its a honor is a understatement.
