    Little Deuce Coupe/Silver Sapphire
Well I'm not braggin' babe so don't put me down
But I've got the fastest set of wheels in town
When something comes up to me he don't even try
Cause if it had a set of wings man I know she could fly
    She's my little deuce coupe
You don't know what I got.

Who wasn't captivated buy that song?
Who didn't lust after the cover of that Beach Boys album? (remember albums?)
Brian Wilson had it soooo together when he wrote those words.

    Barris, The Alexander Brothers and
Clarence "Chili" Catallo had it together too!

Here's a piece I did NOT do, but I picked it up a couple weeks back. Pretty much a miracle find if you ask me. It was painted by NHRA staffer John Jodauga at the end of 1975. He did the old press kit drawings and race posters for Glidden, Grumpy Jenkins etc etc if you are keeping score at home. He did a painting for the first 16 fuel funny cars to dip into the 5 second zone. This on is Don Prudhomme (obviously), who was the first to do it. The sticker says it all. Oh......and it was signed by the Snake in 1976!!!!

Shortly after I found this, a friend found one for Pat Foster. What are the odds?

Watercolor on illustration board. Not to big. 11.5x13 or so..........

  10. Nice....I met Snake at Pomona just after his last ever (well, so far) run in a Funny Car....Got his autograph there ...his hands were still shaking from the run too...Thanks for sharing.

This is a painting of my '51 Hudson that we were prepping for it's long trip from Oregon down to Texas. It is a 4-door sedan that I am making it into a 2-door coupe.
    Peace,
