  2. You're quick BOB, LOL... I just created a thread as well. I'll yield to yours.

    Cool 'Vette image!

I was hoping to post these last week but was working a deadline so it had to wait.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

If Pontiac had made a 1956 Safari Tomahawk ( El Camino, Ute) someone would have surely not left well enough alone. (colorized version to follow)

  4. ...'64 Chevelle. Aussie '65 Falcon. Both drawn at car- park shows just before yule.

I dig '64 'Velles. They have an antiquated feel stylewise, compared to thier contemporaries, the p_ny cars. And they have the 283.

  6. Great start. Can't remember if I've shared this. But I framed, and added this to my HAMB Art gallery wall. Sam ( Rusty1 ) drew it of my 34 Dodge delivery. Thanks Sam.:) 20200116_140624.jpeg

  7. { A Story } I originally got this T bucket for Christmas when I was about 8 years old. I've changed the mill several times. Also painted it many times too. Best Christmas present ever! I added the R.F. mask for dramatic effect. lol 20160726_131941.jpg

  9. I thought I'd show you what the T bucket looked like when I got it for Christmas. The red one, I found at a swap meet called { Big Red } by Marx toys. The shifter actually worked, to shift gears. I was one Happy Kid! Give me a break it's 3:00 AM in the morning lol 20160209_091406.jpg

    Hello,

Jerry Card owned an Automotive Shop in the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay. He was one of the early pioneers to join the fray into the fuel Competition Coupe class better known as “A MODIFIED COUPE” class or AMC. His modified Fiat Coupe did not look like most that were in the Altered Class or the Modified Competition Coupe Class.

With modifications and streamlining as much as possible, it looked like a stiletto going down the dragstrip. We saw a similar version at that Bakersfield Smokers’ March Meet #2 in 1960. We were able to film a very short race in the Competition Coupe Class at the Smokers Meet. It was one of the anticipated, highlight races of the meet. A transplanted East Coast race car vs the West Coast representative.

It was a bad case of “who jumped the gun” or “let’s take a rolling start and no one will notice…” The transplanted Midwesterner learned a fact from the So Cal themes…a red, stop sign rolling start that Californians were noted for that quick action.

Who wouldn’t notice a little movement prior to the start?

  20. Beautiful!

These big Chevies make cool drag racers and are visually inspiring!

  23. I've had to hold off on this one. It isn't at all 100% On Topic for the HAMB to be certain but it does feature a 1964 Dart...
    ( Okay, admittedly, it's a '66) <<< edted... but it s also Americana!
This scene depicts my wife's brother jawing with his best friend Leo at her Father's farm. It's pretty much as things stood when I first visited the farm. Who knows, maybe there's a survivor or two in the old barn... sadly, the barn itself didn't survive much longer.

(full transparency: this is a 1966 Dodge Dart.)
