  3. I saw that a late model Vette was posted. Did more non-Hamb art get posted so the Mods deleted the entire thread???

I posted the 'vette drag car. I was hoping the stars and bars theme would carry
it through. It was deleted for me at 12:02 am. So I posted another pic that was
well in the HAMB time line (1951), it wasn't a VW nor a Mustang, and that's gone
    also.

What happened to the art show I started?? There were many posts in it and now it's gone.

We really need the moderators to set up an automatic art show each week at midnight EST. This double posting and losing posts is a waste of time......really needs to be sorted out.

I'm happy not having job of being a moderator, though I have been on other sites in the passed.
Not a EZ job, often thankless! Good too remember moderators are only human* and often work there time for free.
I lost my post, like many,I don't know why? Don't have too.,like others think that cost me time too.
    The big thing is,have a great weekend !:D ;

    Hello,

Someone mentioned an early 1939 Willys Pickup Truck with smooth rear fenders and that gave me some ideas. The odd-looking front end was not the most popular version of the Willys line up for hot rods. With the different nose and the pop up/out headlights, it makes the design somewhat different to say the least.

We liked the 1940 Willys front end with the dual chrome grilles. But, the most popular seemed to be the one piece grille from the 1941 model. It could also be that the one piece grille was easier to form in fiberglass. So, out they popped by the hundreds…

The 39? A “brother from another mother” was a good design, it just did not go over as well. Something about a looking like a “pop out eyes” look, like a Flounder Fish. But what if the Pittman/Edwards, Mazmanian and SWC had built their record setting Willys coupes from the 1939 model? The eyes of "So Cal" leading the way... ?
    upload_2022-7-1_17-24-30.png
A possible later version of an A/Gas entry for the Gas Coupes and Sedan Class instead of an onslaught of 1941 Willys Coupes???
    upload_2022-7-1_17-25-8.png
Or a low, sleek, raked, dual purpose build, with new Halibrands and M&H slicks including a custom Pearl White Paint from the old days. The finished look versus a stock level pickup… you be the judge.
    upload_2022-7-1_17-26-15.png Joe Itow Willys Coupe
As far as a Bonneville entry in those early days, what if Joe Itow and his magic were to be applied to a chopped 1940 Willys Coupe? It would come from the early drag days (noted) to the Bonneville race days using a 1939 Willys Pickup Truck in the 50s style scallop trend.
    upload_2022-7-1_17-27-29.png
The design could have taken off utilizing the 1939 Willys concept front end pickup truck as a base. A possibility, perhaps? YRMV
    upload_2022-7-1_17-28-49.png
But, a red, white and blue weekend none the less. Stay safe and sane...

A weekly Hamb Art Show open to the entire membership that showcases personally executed Art relating to the Themes and Guidelines of the Website...including all relative elements that would share a connection to Hotrod/Custom...in other words 1965 and older...or inspired to same...

I really enjoyed sharing on topic work celebrating other artists WITH credit but that proved difficult...I get it...

As an Artist hugely inspired by the Hamb era I enjoy the diverse Creativity in our membership...but again we must understand that truly modern details unless plausibly inspired too 65 and older are taboo here just as any other Thread...If you are one who finding stuff removed and you don't understand why, a pm to the Leadership is warranted...I very seldom have this issue...

Thank you all for sharing your Artistic Visions...

  21. In my particular case it means I get to see the various art talent here on the HAMB, that’s what it’s for, this art show, to showcase the art talent on this forum. Party on.

  23. @57 Corvette ~ Bob , This thread wasn't due to a double post, it was a reboot because
The one you began was removed. I think the real issue may have been content related, AKA, rules violation somewhere. No biggy, we're back up and runnin'.
Mods gotta do what mods gotta do, ya know?

    Ha-ha-ha...good question Mitch.
The "Friday Art Show" gives me the opportunity to be a big frickin' show off...and fool folks into thinking I'm cooler, and more talented than I really am.:p

It would be nice if the mods notified the person who started the first post ......lot of people were on that post and then their work was gone. Again, if the FAS was an automatic start by the mods, we wouldn't have this issue. They can remove an individual post, but why the entire thread? To me it's just confusing and a time grabber .......glad everyone found the the new thread. Happy 4th. to all ...........
