  3. The Shearer #77 Ford

I've always enjoyed the late Kevin Shearer's racing in
his #77 Ford, so seeing son Michael continuing the tradition with such speed & verve last Monday at Collingrove Hillclimb's Easter meet was a treat. Thanks to Peter Hall for letting me haul my easel & gear to the top of the climb and paint this.
I did thumbnails of the car in the pits first, then worked off the car as it passed during each heat. 4 hours total painting time.

    Great start everybody.

Gary C. : fabulous, the Pierson Bros Coupe is one of my favourite cars,

Paul : nice job, I like it

Spoggie : as cool as usual,

Vette Bob : I really like the texture, cool stuff,

Jigger : always great. Of course my favourite is the Frog Eyes !!!

    Neo Dutch : yeaaaaaaah !

Well, this week, a Citroën fire truck with "Aérodrome de Lanas" writen on its side. Why ?

Lanas airport was the place of the rebirth of french drag racing. But, last year it was the last time. A new stupid law killed it. So, in memory of Lanas strip, I've drawn this Citroën HY.

    Good Morning!

"Interstellar relations got off to a shaky start today when space aliens tried to swipe Veronica Maeus's car from her driveway. Ms. Maeus apparently utilized a baseball bat during the ensuing 'negotiations', successfully persuading the visitors to return her roadster. The aliens were reported to have said 'Ow!' before flying off."

Photos I took of a new block I had cast and machined for a 1915 Duesenberg 16-valve four cylinder racing engine. You can learn more about it on The Old Motor.

If you enjoy great photography we have 100s of photos taken by some of the best photographers in the business that you can find here.
