I have always loved what Michael does with models and the scenes he creates. I really love what you have done with your interpretation of his base image.

This reminds me so much of a Kentucky artist's painting called the 4 season's in a truck's Life. It was 4 drawings and the truck went from brand new to old truck rusting away beside a barn. Very cool.

  15. Thanks Dan. Southern tip of Lake Gairdner, one of 3 massive salt lakes in outback South Australia. Classed as a remote area. Google Mount Ive, Lake Gairdner, and especially DLRA.

80-odd miles of rough, dusty, stony dirt into camp/ track. This shot taken from lake edge entry point. Whole event is coordinated between DLRA, local aboriginal land council & National Parks & Wildlife Service. Blow dust off driving onto, and brush salt off leaving the lake. No hassle. Low hills end at a point in this shot where startline is revealed, forward on the lake

shoe gaze of spectator edge of track. Big summer downpour 4 weeks ago made for a greasy track

[IMG]Looking downtrack from startline Tuesday arvo. All shots from 3 meg Olympus 300- Un-'shopped.. this one full zoom, queer lo-res grain

Dont do a Bad Bob out here. I went thru 2 gallons a day, + electrolytes. Like I said, no Photoshop/ filters here- this is how strong the light was on Tuesday.

Thanks Steve for this and the other pictures showing and info about your salt flats. Maybe I will get there one of these days. Loved Australia the last time I was there.

That '57 has had many incarnations, from staunch BBC to twin turbo SBC...

Owned the '58 coming up 19 years, she's a good ol' survivor! ;)

  23. Thanx Dan, I feel humbled and can only thank you and the other creative folk here to inspire me and drive me to sharpen my skills!
