that is killer, rarely an example as clean and mean as this

  7. Rub a dub dub, I loves me a tub!

  8. That is such a "Non - Michigan Friendly" car - but I have always loved tubs - a very important part of the hobby! It just sucks to drive a tub for about 4 months a year around here... hell, sucks to drive anything you care about 4 months a year around here.... Gonna have to relocate, I guess, If I could ever replace all the car connections I have here... and I digress.

That tub is especially beautiful - you are right, Ryan. Maybe it is the full fenders - lots were highboys, as I recall.

  9. I'm waiting on JJ to get started on his,,I love the phaetons myself. HRP

    I am in love.

But I'm a little biased to those four-door-roadsters though...

I've always wanted to do an A phaeton. Good luck finding one in the midwest though.

^ Huh, mine originally came out of Nebraska, via California. But then again that was 30 years ago...

  13. One of my favorite Deuce tubs! ... Dig its chopped windshield, tonneau cover, louvered hood, & the Dodge Poly ... but IMHO, its "California rake" is a bit too exaggerated for a full-fendered car (i.e., it needs to come down an inch in the back ... and the rear axle/wheel needs to be centered in the fender).

Love the Tubs! I have built two Wescott's over the years and loved them. I wish Brookville would come out with the one that they display at the LARS. I don't think the demand is there the last time I talked to them. I put my name on the list a couple of years ago. Thanks for bringing the Phaeton back in the spotlight. Let's see how many folks would be ready to sign up for a Phaeton body. JJ has a nice one but they are really rare in steel. Here is my friends Hot Tub that features a Wescott body on an original chassis with all steel fenders. Sometimes you have to compromise to have something you want that isn't available. Remember Wescott roadster bodies prior to Brookville? They were acceptable by most builders.

Wow, so perfect. I generally like pre-'32 open cars a lot more, but this one was definitely built to my liking.

That is one just right phaeton. As several others have said, very clean and simple but it's still so complete. I've always liked the stiff California rake on full fendered cars and that one is one of the reasons why I'd have to believe.

We need to keep JJ fired up on his as he needs a family car. Here are some more old Tubs. The first two you may recognize and the last one is fresh and gorgeous. Some people have these old cars stashed away and will never use them. Now is the time to put them on the market.

You're right Pewsplace, I do need a family car huh?! Well perhaps if I have a good 2014 selling stuff I'll be ready for Hershey so I can get some of the needed parts to get the tub going.
