I'm posting this hoping that someone might have some more pics and info on this car to share.
Fred Larsens old AV8. Quite easily recognised by the gas cap and wishbones.
I love this litte A. It sits just perfect.

Just now I can't remember where I found these pics I have, but they where out there somewhere.
Pic with wires from -48 when purchased.
teh other from Santa Ana -51

According to the video intervue on AHRF's site, his wife almost devorced him when he sold it in order to buy some crappy heap to build a new race car.
...not so sure my wife will ever feel that way about my piece of junk.

Now... you guys got something on this car???

    Hey klazurfer, you where right.
Mongomery had a pic of it..

The book " relieved again" page 119. Then owned by Charles Beck and Jim Travers of the Centuries car club.

FRom what Don is writing it seemes to be Jim who build it. At least he did the kick ups on the frame.

    ....any one got anything else.

What would our lifes be with out Mr. Montgomery's efforts??????

I would love to see some more pic of this car also.

Does anyone know if the rear was kicked up and if so, how much? I'm trying to get my "A" coupe to sit like that and it looks like the only way is to kick it up in the rear about 3"-5".

    All parts inside.

Roadworthy ???? Who knows. Have a dream of next summer but 07 is probably more realistic.

Going to the garage just now to make some progress.

According to the caption in Montgomerys book, it has a frame kick both front and rear. Done by the previous owner, Jim Travers of the Centuries car club.

FWIW, the car on the left appears to be Max Balchowsky's Deuce roadster, probably when it still had the Cadillac L-head V8.

Can't add anything about the car itself, but it looks like it could easily have been the model for the "Cameron Rodzy" gas-engined tether car that was sold back when.
