I was looking at diecast online and went to the Franklin Mint site and found this cool looking 32. Looks like they got a lot of details correct and some cool little touches as well. Limited to 5000 pcs. Here is a link; http://www.franklinmint.com/product1.aspx?SID=2&Product_ID=8928
Looking at the choices down at The AutoBook store in Burbank I was left with the impression that nobody's interrested in producing a truly accurate scale hot rot out of die-cast. I built a really nice '29 roadster found at Hobby Lobby (Company name escapes me) other than no choice in wheels, it's spot on. I'ma details freak; this '32 seems worth a closer look. Thanks.
I'm not a diecast collector,....... but I just noticed these that are offered,...... kind of cool. if you guys are collectors,... they look like they got the details right.
Who makes those? I am guessing GMP for Pure Hell, was it Hot Wheels that did the Hirohata? But the other two I don't recall seeing before, I do like that T.
I don't know about being "ripped off", seems to be a traditional style that I have seen tons of people copy and emulate features of. I am sure if it is accurate to an existing car they got the releases, etc first. I would be honored if a company decided my car was fitting to make a model of.
the engine is different, other than that it is the same down to the e and j lights. no release he is honored no release= rip off dan
I'm not into die cast, some cool stuff out there. If you want a car the way you think it should be, build it yourself. Plastic models are way cheap and you get the satisfaction of making something cool. Hell even scratch build something larger, thats what I like to do. I was unaware about the release, that sucks. Got any picts of the real car ?(too busy to search right now) Thanks
