Frame swap

Does anyone here know if a 40 ford frame will swap with a 46 frame? Both are 2 dr sedans. JK

 

No, the 40 style frame will swap bewteen 1935-40 Ford, along with 1941 pick-up. For the 46, you need a 42-48 frame, a 41 passenger frame may work too, but I think there are a few unique things for that year.

 

2 x different animals

 

Frame groups:
32 alone all
33-34 all
35-40 Car and 35-41 Pickup
41 car(can work for 42-48)
42-48 Car
42-47 Pickup

 

Thanks for the info. I'm going to put a Jag frt under my 46 and have a 40 frame. Thought I might do the swap to it before removing mine. It's never that easy is it.
