Has a giant chicken look to it. Any idea of make, model, year?
its a henway for sure.
I don't no but it sure is cool...
A quick google search produced this:
1938 International Harvester D-300 truck & trailer from the 1939 Treasure Island Fair.
Search Levi's Puppet Rodeo, you'll find more info.
Looks like a converted 39-41 International Harvester to me.
edit: looks like I got beat to the punch.
what's a henway? tee hee hee
Looks somewhat like a White COE. what's the emblem say above the grille?
HAHAHAHA!!!! What a find!! I love it!!!!!!
That would make a great car hauler !
I want it !
(I know, Iknow...I can't help myself. I'm sick ! )
Perhaps the Rocketeer's RV ???
It probably should be restored to look exactly like it did back in the day but that would make a wild hot rod travel trailer conversion.
An internet search shows that the truck has quite a following who keep track of it.
Definitely one of a kind.
You'd be the only kid on the block to have one.
scroll down through this linked thread for more information.
A lot of you guys on here sure like ugly stuff..
So if it's one of a kind where does the one I posted come into the picture? Looks like it says Universal sound stage on the front. So was it orange and yellow, then repainted the light blue, and then repainted the orange and yellow?
Giant Chicken Motorhome!!! (although Rocketeer would be cooler.. chickens is jus' funny I'll tell ya whut...)
Wouldent mind having on ih made a few cool looking trucks that's for shure
It transported a mechanical puppet show featuring Levi's wearing cowboy singer puppets.
It was built in 1939 and toured the country in WWII selling war bonds.
I mean this respectfully... It is so ugly that i can't stop looking at it. Is the five head and fin OG?
P.S. I really don't mean to offend anyone with my comments. I think anything old is worth saving, especially the rare. And ugly has its place too. I hope anyway, for my sake!!
Looks like it's been taken care of for the most part, that's always good. Something like that deserves a full on restoration.
An old hauler with a mohawk! COOL!
I like it... I want it!
This looks like more info about what was inside the trailer:
Ugly is good, it takes a good imaganation to build Ugly Iron. One thing you can't hurt them, just make them look better ! LOL
I think ih made a delivery or box style like that too
I like the looks of it,,It would make a great hauler or even a better travel trailer set up,,,were are the photo shoppers when you need them? HRP
looks like a white truck
