It looks great, I'm standing by to see details on the cycle fenders when you make it that far :)

    Very nice work.

  10. Installed a Rod Tops convertible top on the roadster. Very impressed with the stainless steel hardware & overall quality of this kit.

The rear window panel can be removed and they even provide a piece of canvas that snaps over the "floating frame"

One of the reasons I went with Rod Tops is that they offered optional side curtains. Hopefully I never have to use them!

  11. Here are some picutures of the finished interior. Distressed leather was used giving the interior an old & worn appearance.

Center console was also wrapped in leather

Trunk has mini side panels installed & was carpeted

The roadster is turning out great, and the interior is perfect!

  15. Thanks ss34coupe!
Did you notice the 33-34 door locks we installed? Feel alot safer knowing the door can't fling open while driving! ;)

Anything from a 33-34 always makes a hot rod better!:D

  17. True!

  18. Man that interior is just out of this world......I'll have to remember when its time to do my cabrio. Tim

  19. Thanks timwhit! The roadster interior is very understated, just looks right!
Also, it will never go out of style.

I like it a lot, it turned out very nicely.

Wish I could just order up a Rod Tops top kit, however they don't make one for my 26 RPU and the only way to get one done by them would be to trailer my car all the way from Alberta to their shop in Michigan.

I still don't see any cycle fenders on the roadster ;)

  21. Very happy with the quality of the Rod Tops top! Not cheap, but like they say, you get what you pay for! It sounds like you have talked to them about a custom top for you 26 RPU? I had to fill out a form where they wanted all the exact dimentions of the roadster. The roadster had 2 inch chopped & leaned windshield posts, so they custom made it to my dimentions.
Not going with cycle fenders....stay tuned!

Thanks, I'll stay tuned. :) Yes, I talked to them and they basically told me that the only way they could do a custom top for my RPU was to have the car there.

I am tempted to do it although it will be quite the expense.

  23. Make a holiday out of it. Drop it off at their shop, go watch a NASCAR race and it will be ready when you get back! :D

Very nice completion on your found roadster, could you tell me where you obtained the gas tank and what its size is gallons wise? Thanks Larry

  29. Thanks roddin-shack!
Custom stainless fuel tank made by Rock Valley to our design specs. It's around 22 -23 imperial gallons. Usually a roadster will have 12 - 16 gallons, but we needed a larger fuel tank. The quality is superb! :)

    Thanks patmanta!
Compliments from from our hot roddin' peers mean the most!:D
