For you railroad buffs....see the tree line behind the cars? That is the road bed of the very first railroad in the US, once the longest in the world. The S.C. canal and Railroad Co. laid the rails from Charleston to Hamberg, now N. Agusta. The first engine ws the Best Friend of Charleston.

No idea about the rest of the 300. Funny story...I travel all over SC painting murals in schools. In Clinton, I find a pic. of n old AD in a magazine and cut it out. I stuck it in the dash of my truck and it rode there for quite a while. Months later, the first time I was in Barnwell, I take and alternate road(Got lost) and happen upon this place. Poking around and talking to Danny, I realize that this is the truck in the picture and I still had it in my truck. He got a kick out of that, didn't know it had been photographed.

They should give all these rides to car guys that dont have one instead of lettng it rot away. That way for sure someone will do something with them. Just my 2 pennies

He buys them up from fields, etc. to save them from the crusher. Not many of them are pristine, but lots are mostly there. He has them all for sale, call him.

    Great find
Railroad tracks are the best place for old car finds, usually cheap land that junk yards get started on. Friend of mine is a RR engineer, and marks on maps where he spots old cars, we're in the process of driving out to these spots and seeing if we can buy some of the cars. If you know any guys on the RR ask them to start spotting for you.

My error. The coupe is NOT Chevrolet. Capital's and period's.

That blue '56 Dodge 4dr is a CRL, probably has a little Hemi in it. Tail lights are worth something. And as mentioned, so is the 300 clip.

He seems pretty reasonable, in line with others. He knows what he has, but isn't married to any of them.
