Found an Old Racecar Need Info

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by adamshumard, Dec 21, 2011.

  1. Look up brian satterwhite on face book, then look at the page we set up for these old cars.

Kinda looks like a car that would be from Ada.

  2. 1967 or 1968 would be the best bet.

  3. The again , maybe an Anadarko, OK car. We'll see.

  4. Wichita Falls, Lawton, Ada- those are very likely sources too.

Of these 3, Wichita Falls would be a bet on the town it may be from.

  5. 100" wheelbase, with an engine setback of 50" from the front kingpin?

Likely an open driveline too. That front end is very much like what was used here as well.

  8. I found it, I found it!!

Texoma Speedway was a 1/4 mile dirt track just off I-35 in Thackerville, OK.

I truly doubt Sterling ever drove there. Sterling is from Tennessee, and I live just 35 miles north of the old track.

Track was rough and dry most of the time. At the time, other than fighting and basketball, that track was the only thing in town. Oh, I forgot about the bars on the Red River. LOL

  9. Have you sold it yet?
