A friend gave me this old gasser that was sitting in his parents yard. This one may be beyond saving has been sitting in the dirt on Long Island for a long, long time. It's a 40 Chevy, with a tilt glass nose, rollbar, has drilled econoline axel, had slicks on it still has front wheels on it. I guess it was raced in the NY area. If any body has any info on this car let me know. Also what type of wheels are on it . Thanks

I'm cryin' my eye off! I'll give you Rockys Chevy coupe in trade for the front wheels.
Congrats on a great deal - hope you appreciate it...

The wheels look like Ansen slots and will clean up nice with some
0000 steel wool and some WD40.

Yea definatly looks like magnesiums on the front..unless its a dirt skin over the aluminum.. but the colors looks dead on magnesium. Cleaned up, are worth a pretty shiny penny..

Those wheels are crap and they will start to smell if you clean them you should send them to me so, I can dispose of them properly. I'll even pay shipping

  17. That's a nice looking car and would be a great stable mate for my truck.

Yup, definitely magnesium Halibrand Sprints. Those tires are Pirelli Stelvio's. Too bad they are shot. Very nice find.
