I found this old 5w coupe in a farmer's "junk ditch". I am not that good with this era car. Can anyone tell what it is? Can't tell from this picture, but I am pretty sure that the gas tank was in the cowl. Notice the brass (or bronze?) column drop. I have seen you guys rebuild some cars from cars worse than this on the site, Is this thing worth digging up? There was a complete frame sitting right outside the ditch as well, but I can't get that picture to load. hopkinsoldcar.jpg

'30-'31 A, see the rear inner fenderwell pattern. And the SS cowl band.

    Definitely 30-31 Ford coupe.

Please post pics of it once it's exhumed – will be interesting to see how much survived underground.

Likely a 31 with the dash mounted column bracket, looks like it had a rumble lid. Keep digging, who knows what else could be there!

As the other's said, 30-31 Ford.
I imagine the pass side could be quite a bit worse seeing it's buried in the muck...but from the rest that i see in the pic it's worth unearthing and making something of it.
In fact, if i were to stumble on something just like that, i'd have it in my truck asap.....providing the land owner was good with it being removed.

  10. Well worth grabbing whatever you can. If you don't use it someone else will need it.

  11. You haven't dug up this treasure yet? HRP

Cool. Even if it is just the left side, it's worth saving.
