Found this in Northern Jersey over the weekend and brought it home. We ended up dropping the front end back down where it originally was. Has a olds rear. Rollbar is square and they must have added a top loop at sometime.

junk....but I'll take it off your hands

  9. Well I got you covered. Come and get it. ;)

I am real pleased that you decided to drop the front end down that original setup was just scarry looking. Neat old car should be slicker than greased own shit when you are done with it.

  10. I was just looking at a car very similar to this one on line and kidding with my 8 yr old that we could put that body on my t-bucket chassis. He said no way, wonder if it was the same car ?

Sweeeeeeeeeet ! Hopefully some of the Northeast guys will know something about the car.

Are you going to race it or make it a street car?

Really nice. I had my eyes on one here in colorado about 15 years ago that looked really close to yours except it had a round tubular roll cage. The one I was looking at but didn't get was a documented magazine car. Damn I should have bought it.

There's a 100% stock American Bantam for sale on my local CL. It'd be a shame to tear it down to make a hotrod, but if I had the money I'd probably molest it anyway! ;)

  15. Molest a stocker??, you bet I would. Hell I would ride it hard and put it up wet. Stock they are just another car but they have such good possibilities. ;)

  16. Very cool, can you make out what it says on the driver's door?

I can't find any writing on it, it has a few layers of paint. I already have an olds 324 punched out to 350 cubes that was my fathers motor in high school, the b&m hydro I have is setup for a chevy so that I will have to change over.

Regaurding the drag car, some of the chassis mods seem strange by todays standards, but they sure fit the time period it was built. Try and save as much of the origonal fab as posible, it's cool for sure.
