Been keeping an eye out high and low for anything interesting and this turned up 2 blocks from my house and was a killer deal to boot! Low miles, very stock and mostly original. Came with lots of documentation and even the paperwork and brochure for the Sears under dash air. Here's some pics...

I'm assuming that's a Canadian made Mercury, since your in Canada. Usually have some nice subtle changes from the American made Mercurys. Nice find!

Thanks, I'm really pleased with this find. Actually it's a Florida car and still has the dealership emblem on the trunk lid and a 1971 Florida inspection sticker on the windshield. Apparently it came to Canada in the 80's.

I hear ya Sam, I swore off of rust buckets long ago. Hard to find clean ones in this neck of the woods so I'm feelin' particularly lucky. Now, about that Mexican blanket......

Love the taillights. There's one of these in a junkyard close to me, let me know if you're missing anything.

JD, you read my mind sir! Gotta admit though, I'm really diggin' the look of Malcolm's Galaxie with the WWs and spider caps.

Can you believe this thing was sitting at Midland and Ellesmere for the last 10 years?
JR fuel huh? Insanity is not the right word, should be a riot!
Road trip planned for '09. Wanna hit speed week then I'll shoot out to SoCal and pay you a visit. Of course a little stop over in Vegas is a must. =)

    Thanks guys~!

that's a nice car! i few years back i bartered a 63 marauder for a paint job, the car was really clean, made a cool custom out of it. are you gonna leave it stock, or what's the plan? they do make cool customs! if you want, i'll post a pic, so you can see what i mean, or give you some ideas. congrats!

Really nice find. The setting you chose for the pictures looks great. Those buildings look to be the same age as your car, pretty neat.

Thanks, I'm stoked. The pics were taken by the previous owner at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) downtown Toronto so the era should be very close.
