    I was very blessed today...

I went to see a guy about some video equipment and in the lobby of his business stood this Chrondek Light Stand (Christmas tree), I asked if it was for sale and he acted like he thought it was funny that anyone would want it. Long story short, it's now standing in my living room. It doesn't look like it's ever been left outside overnight.

I'd have to try and find out what track it came from. You could tie up a lot of coin just in the electrical fixtures and components trying to make one.

I made two of these for Christmas presents last year, and YES alot of coin. Bulb alone cost over $125 ($7 each) fixtures are about $65, plus the aluminum posts, and stand. They looked AWESOME, and exactly like this. I did find some good pics to reference from. I thought about maikng a few and sellin' em but I seriously doubt any one would pay for a non funtioning ( all lights will come on but not sequentially ) enough to make it worth my while. Was close to $250 just for the guts, and about 10 hours or so to build it.
If anyones interested pm me. I'll can get some pics.

Value may go up if you can determine which track it came from. To me, it's a museum piece.
I'd pull all the bulbs and take it in my travels getting every famous drag racers (Garlits, etc.) signature on it in Sharpie that I could before these guys pass on! That would be fun and really add to the value.

I did find out it was from Bristol and was used until around 73-74 (according to the guy I got it from). I will probably sell it once I can determine what it's worth but for the time being it looks great in the living room.

I've searched all over for some pictures from the late sixties/early seventies of Bristol Dragway but none show the tree.
