Got home from work today to find this in the shop.

I've been working on this deal with Stickman from Calgary since January.
Between work, holidays, sickness and family life we finally got our shit together and completed the deal.
    Here's a mint running 303 and hydro from a 53 98 Olds!!
    Yeah baby, I'm so pumped.
Going to give it a good cleaning, dress it up and put it in the 49!
The sbc is outa there, it's about frickin' time!

A big thanks to Stickman for being patient with me, he's a top notch HAMBer!

    '53 is a good year,congratulations! :D
BTW,is that a pan-mounted dipstick on the hydro?
it looks like it has the old-style dipstick too.
the old-style is supposedly more accurate.

Yorg, it is a pan mounted dipstick.
I'll definatley have some questions coming your way.

Shiny, I have an extra stick setup, just need the clutch pedal for my car!
I might have grey hair but I can still pull a stick.
We'll be doing that this weekend at the old time drags, 66 chevelle with a 427 and a Nash 5 speed!

  9. awesome man!

those 303's are some great engines, I know the one that was in my '53 rocket was sure enough surprising...

Mine had the dynaflush attatched to it though, somethin about some hydramatic plant burnin down or somethin like that? Wasn't much for takeoff, but once ya got goin' it was outtasite...

how come all the good stuff is everywhere but arkansas??? (somehow, I'm afraid to know the answer to that one....)
