No way that car is worth 17k. Tell him when he's done hanging out with Flash Gordon and gets back down to earth, you'll give him 5000.00 .

Don't forget the reality TV shows, they probably think 17k is a deal and with just a few more dollars can turn a quick profit!!!! The magic and illusion of TV.

If you can find a 55 nomad in this shape for 5k buy it any day of the week. I would only go to 10k tops. However, I see ones in this shape go for this price from time to time. I think he will get what he wants for it. Not like I have been looking since I sold my 56 nomad a few years back.;)

They made a little more than 8,300 of them.
If that one really does have all the Nomad-only trim pieces, he'll probably get pretty close to his asking price.

There are probably more real '32 roadsters around than '55 Nomads.

I don't think his price is too far off, remember the rule of selling............. start high, you cant start low then raise the price. I think he left some wiggle room in there for negotiation.

It'd sell for more than $10k, but I bet he doesn't even have the Nomad-only eybrow potmetal and fender stainless P.I.T.A. parts.

  15. That stuff is finally being reproduced but is very expensive.

Around here that car could sell for 17K.

  16. I grew up there also. Had a 55 wagon, myself. I don't recall any of the MM cars being Nomads. All I remember were regular wagons, like mine. Of course, there's a lot I don't remember. It was the 60s
